Joelma Marques trat mit ihrer Musik bereits im brasilianischen TV und Radio sowie auf deutschen und brasilianischen Bühnen in Bars, Restaurants und auf Festivals auf.

Zu den medialen Highlights ihrer musikalischen Aktivitäten gehören die Live-Präsentation in TV Ceará auf Einladung der lokalen Radio- und TV-Legende Augusto Borges im Programm "Ontem, Hoje e Sempre" ("Gestern, Heute und Immer") und im Programm "História da Música" von Ulysses Gaspar, wo bereits viele Berühmtheiten Brasiliens aufgetreten sind, oder die Vorstellung ihrer Alben in der Sendung "Nova música do Brasil" auf Rádio Cultura Brasil durch einen der einflussreichsten brasilianischen Musikjournalisten und -publizisten, Solano Ribeiro, der mit Legenden der brasilianischen Musik zusammenarbeitete und sie teilweise entdeckte (Elis Regina, Edu Lobo, Francis Hime, Maria Odete, Chico Buarque, Nara Leão, Geraldo Vandré, Jair Rodrigues, Martinho da Vila etc.).

Die Alben "Passos" und "Tertúlia do Catolé" wurden beide in Fortaleza produziert. Dabei durfte Joelma mit regionalen Musikgrößen zusammenarbeiten: Carlinhos Crisóstomo, Tito Freitas, Descartes Gadelha, Marcelo Leite, Adelson Viana oder Tarcísio Lima. Das Album "De nós dois" entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit Alexandre Caldi, einem Arrangeur aus Rio de Janeiro, der auch schon mit Roberto Menescal, Leila Pinheiro und Maria Rita zusammenarbeitete. 

Immer schon war es Joelma neben ihren Soloaktivitäten wichtig, in einem Chor zu singen. In Fortaleza teilte sie als Mitglied des Chors der Universidade Federal do Ceará im Musical "Menino" sogar die Bühne mit dem berühmten Milton Nascimento. Seit sie wieder in München ist, singte sie im brasilianischen Chor Cantares Alt und Mezzosopran bis 2020.

Joelma trat u.a. im HP8 Isarphilharmonie, in der Jazzbar Vogler in München, in Ubo9 mit Jazzbirds und Stefan Huber, in der Pasinger Fabrik mit Brasil Arts Orquestra, auf dem Uferlos Festival in Freising und im Rahmen der renommierten Veranstaltungsreihe "Offene Tore" der Herz-Jesu-Kirche München auf. Außerdem sang sie in zahlreichen Münchner Kulturcafés, auf dem Tollwood Festival München, im Mercado Central von Fortaleza in der Reihe "Degusta Som" (vom SESC gefördert) und in der Stadtbibliothek Neuhausen (gefördert vom Bezirksausschuss Neuhausen).

Entre os destaques midiáticos de suas atividades musicais estão a apresentação ao vivo na TV Ceará a convite da lenda do rádio e da TV local Augusto Borges no programa "Ontem, Hoje e Sempre" e no programa "História da Música" de Ulysses Gaspar, onde muitas celebridades brasileiras já se apresentaram, ou a apresentação de seus álbuns no programa "Nova música do Brasil", na Rádio Cultura Brasil, por um dos mais influentes jornalistas e publicitários de música do Brasil, Solano Ribeiro, que colaborou com lendas da música brasileira e descobriu algumas delas (Elis Regina, Edu Lobo, Francis Hime, Maria Odete, Chico Buarque, Nara Leão, Geraldo Vandré, Jair Rodrigues, Martinho da Vila, etc.).

Joelma teve a oportunidade de colaborar com grandes nomes da música regional: Carlinhos Crisóstomo, Tito Freitas, Descartes Gadelha, Marcelo Leite, Edinho, Adelson Viana e Tarcísio Lima. O álbum "De nós dois" foi criado em colaboração com Alexandre Caldi, um arranjador do Rio de Janeiro que também trabalhou com Roberto Menescal, Leila Pinheiro e Maria Rita. 

Além de suas atividades solo, sempre foi importante para Joelma cantar em um coral. Em Fortaleza, ela chegou a dividir o palco com o famoso Milton Nascimento no musical "Menino" como membro do coral da Universidade Federal do Ceará. Desde que retornou a Munique, ela cantou como alto e mezzo-soprano no coral brasileiro Cantares até 2020.

Joelma já se apresentou no HP8 Isarphilharmonie, no Jazzbar Vogler em Munique, no Uferlos Festival em Freising e como parte da renomada série de eventos "Offene Tore" na Herz-Jesu-Kirche em Munique. Ela também cantou em vários cafés culturais em Munique, no Festival Tollwood em Munique, no Mercado Central de Fortaleza na série "Degusta Som" (patrocinada pelo SESC) e na Biblioteca Municipal de Neuhausen (patrocinada pelo Comitê Distrital de Neuhausen).
